Upon asking him to give me a review of the show:
A few days later, Ryan added:
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you something else that happened at the show. When
we first got there we were walking behind the place when I heard a trombone
playing. As I walked further I saw Katharine, Jim, and the trombone player
standing in the alley right outside the door. I could of easily walked over
and said hi, but they looked like they were getting ready for the show and I
didn't want to intrude."

"I don't mind if you do, except nothing really BIG happend this time (not to
me at least). The show was really good
though!!!! Well, the people kept on
referring to my dad as the guy from Mammoth. They decided that he could take
pictures up on the stage wing for the first three songs. When I went to
follow him back, they said "Sorry, nobody under 21 is allowed
backstage". When my dad went back there he said he actually ran
into Jimbo, so the manager introduced him."
"Jim was really nice, and had a heavy southern accent. And as he was leaving,
he walked right past Kat. That night the Jazz Squad was
introduced by Jimbo,
and he continued to be the speaker for the show. It also happend to be the
sax players 31st wedding anniversary, which Kat commented on by saying
"Yeah, and she locked him out".
Katharine's voice was perfect, I didn't hear
one glitch all night. They seemed to play every song on the album, and a
couple more that weren't on it. I managed to get three Jazz Squad posters
and a couple of post cards. It was one of the best shows i've been to, and I
get to see another one next week."*
